Moloch + Die Stadt

Freder, the son of the architect of Metropolis, hurries down below, hoping to find the girl who stole his heart. He doesn’t find her, but stumbles upon the daily reality of the workers who literally work themselves to death on the machines that run the city. The heart machine, the “moloch”, explodes causing many casualties. Freder is shocked and rushes off to see his father.
